The West Asia Rugby Premiership is the top tier league of Gulf rugby with 6 regional Gulf rugby clubs participating in the league format competition which runs from September to May each season.
The Gulf league format is played out with all teams playing each other home and away, culminating at the end of the season with a knockout style tournament between the top four league table teams placed 1 to 4. 1st place finisher in the league, plays 4th place in one semi final match, 2nd place finisher in the league plays 3rd place finisher. The two winners of each semi final match then meet in the ‘West Asia Premiership Final’.
The winner of the final is then crowned West Asia Premiership Champions for that season.
