Club Pays Tribute To Coach Who Dies During Touch Rugby Match

Joe Mow – Dubai Hurricanes Coach and Touch Rugby Player
A Dubai Hurricanes rugby player collapsed and died on Sunday, during what was meant to be a fun evening of touch rugby in Al Barsha, Dubai.
Fijian born, Joe Mow aged 43, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday 25th April, whilst playing touch rugby at Kings School Al Barsha. Players and coaches rushed to provide medical assistance for the player, but he sadly later died in hospital. The cause of death is yet to be confirmed but suspected to be heart-related.
Hurricanes Chairman, Peter Clapp said,
“Joe was a familiar face around the club and rugby community. He was a true gentleman and a positive role model, and inspiration to the children he coached, he will be very much missed.”
