Dubai Sharks Rugby Club

Enjoyed 2 great seasons with Dubai Sharks, on moving to Dubai it is a great club and made great friends!

Nothing but great things to say about the club. A great environment and incredibly welcoming, they take their motto of Serious Rugby, Seriously Social quite literally. The club ballooned in size quickly, a few people left because of the transient nature of Dubai and the culture was slightly diluted recently. That said, they have brought back in the former coach and the essence of the club is back on track. Once a Shark, always a Shark.

The transient nature of this country and the organic growth of the club drives an inevitable change in the squad each year, but if you’re old or new, fit or shit, Kiwi, English or even lucky enough to be Welsh then I can guarantee everyone is always embraced as one (well…probably a little less if your English).I’ve made some true friends at The Sharks, which will stay with me well beyond my time in Dubai. Top rugby with excellent facilities, complimented by an ace social atmosphere. What a great club!

As a newcomer to Dubai, the Sharks instantly made me feel welcome from day one and since have grown into my closest circle of friends.The "Serious Rugby, Seriously Social" is very apt as you can take it as seriously as you like or just socialise with the teams without even training or playing.To anyone looking for new social friends and a hobby, the Sharks Rugby Club in Dubai are for you.
