Harlequins Think Pink For Cancer Patients & Their Families

Abu Dhabi Harlequins raise money for charityThe Abu Dhabi Harlequins Rugby Club and rugby gear manufacturer Kukri teamed up to raise money to support cancer patients and their families. During the month of October Kukri donated pink socks to the Club. Members, in turn, made a donation for the right to wear them in lieu of the official uniform socks.

“Pink socks are a visible way for us to raise money and awareness at the same time.”

“We have all been touched by this disease in some way,” said Harlequins’ Chairman, Andy Cole. “Pink socks are a visible way for us to raise money and awareness at the same time. I thank our members who have taken part.”

A cheque will be handed over to registered cancer support charity, Rahma on Friday, 3 November at 16.30 on Pitch 12 at Zayed Sports City.
